Just a Few Pics

Weld House Home #4 is wrapping up.
More has happened since these pictures but someone I know and love keeps forgetting to take more pictures.
Ok, so I know there are more important things he is remembering at least.
The walls have been painted and the cabinets have been stained.
We went on a shopping trip last night to round up the remaining light fixtures, smoke alarms, etc.
I am anxious to see the marble that has been installed in the bathrooms...
I love the gray master bedroom.
And that is all I have for now but will be back with more soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

A Little Dog Told Me to Check Out This Post

So much has progressed since the last time I posted!
It's partly my fault since I have been busy doing other things but it's also because things have been happening at a rapid pace.
Spray foam insulation and electrical wiring was installed.
 Sheetrock came next.

Fancy ceiling construction took place in the master bedroom.
This now has trim and will also include special lighting.  So pretty!
 Rock trucks arrived.
 And rock laying began.

 Sidewalks were added.
One from the back porch to the carport
And a short sidewalk to a new slab that will house an outdoor kitchen

Work took place on the driveway.
 So many rocks
Each one put it place by hand.
 Doesn't it look great?
When the skies cleared and some of the puddles dried, Lily and I got to go along to check out the progress in real life!
Cabinets had been installed.
This is the laundry room.
 Master Bath
 Master shower
 Nice, big master closet.
I spy a cute baby.
And the daddy's not too bad looking either :)
 Den and kitchen area.
I LOVE the pine ceiling!
I spy someone else cute.
Here he is, warming up by the light.
Just like I used to do when working on our Weld House!
(Guess I think like a dog.)
A closer look at the kitchen.
 Blue skies!
And dreams of outdoor cooking and hanging out.
 A look at the back.
Love the bay window.
This stage of building is the best.
All the little details coming together to make a home.
I really do love my husband's job :)
Gus* says, "Thanks for stopping by to visit.  We'll be back with more soon."

*Name has been changed to protect the individuals identity...or maybe the author of this post did not know it.

Ready to Rock

Things are moving right along at Weld House Home #4.
It has been exciting to see a wood framed house be constructed.
 Framing inside

The owner, who has been such a pleasure to work with.
The cedar posts add such character and I love the bay window.
 Windows installed and siding painted
Roof finished.
I love the front door, which will look great after the rock is installed.
I can't wait to see it rocked!
We'll be back soon with updates.
Thanks for stopping by.

Wooden Weld House Home

We are excited to announce the construction of our next project, a wood frame home.
To begin, dirt work took place.

We celebrated by flying a kite.
Not really.
But the neighbors did.
What a nice way to welcome the home owner to the block :)
The hole was filled back in.
 Form boards, trenches and plumbing

 Poly and rebar

 Let the cement pouring begin.

Getting it all nice and smooth.
(Isn't the sky beautiful?)

 Framing begins

It is exciting to watch this project move along.
Come back as we post the progress.
Thanks for stopping in.
